Victor Boivin（ヴィクトール・ボアヴァン）

1897年、パリにて工房登録。
ベル・エポック期に活躍したフランスの銀工房で、
ルイ15世様式・ルイ16世様式を基調とした優雅なテーブルウェアを制作しました。

復古様式でありながら過度に重厚にならず、
軽やかで洗練された装飾バランスを持つ点が特徴です。

本作はルイ15世様式を基調とした、
優美で軽やかな小振りのコーヒーポット。

外観は18世紀ショコラティエールの形式を踏襲していますが、
撹拌棒（ムーラン）用の開口部がないため、用途としてはコーヒーポットと考えられます。

ベル・エポック期に好まれた、
「18世紀様式の再解釈」を体現する一品です。

トレイにのせてデミタスカップ二客と合わせると美しいバランスを見せます。

Description

A refined French Louis XV revival silver coffee pot by Victor Boivin, Paris, circa 1897 or later.

Crafted in solid 950 silver (Minerva 1st standard), this elegant small-scale coffee pot exemplifies the Belle Époque taste for 18th-century revival forms.

The body is adorned with delicate fluting and rocaille ornamentation to the upper section and lid. It stands on three graceful cabriole legs and features a finely shaped leaf-form spout. The lid is crowned with a shell and foliate finial, characteristic of Louis XV decorative vocabulary.

The ebony handle provides both insulation and a refined visual contrast to the luminous silver surface.

Although inspired by the traditional 18th-century chocolate pot form, this example does not include an aperture for a stirring rod (moulin), and is therefore correctly identified as a coffee pot in chocolate pot form.

A charming cabinet-size piece, ideal for one to two demitasse servings, and beautifully proportioned for display on a silver tray with matching cups.
